What is the most iconic chant that the Union fans do?

“What is the most iconic chant that the Philadelphia Union fans do?”

It seems like such a simple question but when it was posed to me last week, it seemed to raise more questions. What defines a chant? Is it just a song sung at the match? Does it have to be something that can be sung at really any time, or would you include songs sung at specific times? Do they have to be original chants or ones that are borrowed from other clubs?

For instance, Union fans don’t really sing ‘Doop’ at any time other than following a goal. Sure it may happen after the initial goal, but no one would just start singing it at a random point in the match. Ditto for the Sons of Ben anthem ‘4 Leaf Clover’ – it’s never sung outside of the 20:10 mark. Do those songs – iconic in their own right – constitute as chants? My gut says no, but to quote Pope Francis, “Who am I to judge?”

What about chants that are not unique to the Union? Borrowing Millwall’s ‘No One Likes Us’ and making it about Philadelphia is apropos, but would that be iconic to the Union? What about the simple ‘Phi-la-del-phia” – does that count as original? Does it even matter?
