The Harrisburg City Islanders will play every home match of the 2017 USL Regular Season at FNB Field. The decision marks the clubs return to City Island after one year in limbo.

In 2016, Harrisburg announced that they would divide their home matches between FNB Field and Clipper Magazine Stadium in Lancaster, PA. The decision was made in an effort to expand the club’s fan base in central Pennsylvania. In practice, the arrangement was an awkward back-and-forth that suited neither the club nor the supporters.

For over a decade, Harrisburg played their home matches at Skyline Sports Complex on City Island. The club left Skyline because it did not fulfill the requirements established by USL as they prepared to apply for Division 2 status with US Soccer. FNB Field, home of the Harrisburg Senators, fulfills those requirements with modern facilities a capacity of over 6,000.

The City Islanders will play sixteen home matches at FNB Field in the USL Regular Season, starting with a home opener against rival Bethlehem Steel FC on April 15, 2017. Harrisburg will play both Steel FC and the Pittsburgh Riverhounds three times. The clubs have not announced whether the Keystone Derby Cup will be contested in 2017 nor if Bethlehem will be included.

The full schedule is available on the City Islanders’ website. Preseason matches and ticket sales will be announced at a later date.
