Both Caleb Calvert and Conor Casey (!) were just ejected

Casey made a triumphant return to Talen Energy Stadium tonight.

Less than an hour after scoring the first goal of his MLS career, Caleb Calvert received two yellow cards in quick succession. Referee Jose Carlos Rivero did not seem to buy his purported injury, handing him his first yellow for dissent after he left the field with a Rapids trainer. Calvert re-entered without Rivero's permission moments later, earning him his second card.

Somehow, the situation managed to get even crazier. With Calvert plodding over to the tunnel, Rivero made his way to Colorado's technical area, which was filled with furious coaches by this point. He motioned for one of them to make their way to the locker room, and out of the frenzied Rapids bench emerged former Union striker Conor Casey. You may remember that Casey, now an assistant with the Rapids, was sent off in Talen Energy Stadium as a member of the Columbus Crew last season.

One thing is for sure: Conor Casey found a way to bring the Union supporters to their feet one more time.
