Benfica podcast checks in with C.J. dos Santos, Colton Storm scores first goal as a professional and more

Sporting Kansas City defender Colton Storm (Mechanicsburg, Pa.) scored his first professional goal for Swope Park Rangers in a 4-0 win over Rio Grande Valley FC Toros.

Reading United defender Evan Finnegan was named to the PDL Team of the Week. Reading goalkeeper Alexandre Bouillennec was an honorable mention.

Rochester Rhinos defender Joe Farrell (Blue Bell, Pa.) was named to the USL Team of the Week. Former Philadelphia Union draft pick Chandler Hoffman was also on the team.

Philadelphia Union Academy grad Justin Bajek (Middletown, Del.) has transferred from the University of Maryland to the University of Delaware. The goalkeeper will have four years of eligibility remaining after redshirting his first season in college. The Blue Hens also announced their schedule for the 2017 season. Former Blue Hens star and Chicago Fire draft pick Guillermo Delgado was training this week with Bethlehem Steel FC.

Penn released its 2017 schedule. So did Rowan University.

Richmond Kickers signed former Villanova and recent West Chester United midfielder Oscar Umar.

Philadelphia native and former Philadelphia Union Academy goalkeeper CJ dos Santos was interviewed for the Benfica Podcast about his first year as a pro in the youth system for the Portuguese club.

DelawareOnline caught up with Bear native Mark McKenzie, who recently left for college at Wake Forest.

Continental FC coach Gary Christopher is doing a cross-country bike trip to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation. As part of the trip he’ll be dribbling a soccer ball for a mile each day.

Continental FC’s boys 2008 team were champions of their age division at the Iber Cup in Portugal.

Continental FC announced a partnership affiliation with Philadelphia Soccer Club.

Rose Tree Soccer Club’s 2002 boys won the Mid-Atlantic Cup.

Four teams from Eastern Pa. are participating in the U.S. Youth Soccer National President Cup in Florida.

Casa Soccer League president Tim Hampson was on the KYW Philly Soccer Show ahead of the local amateur league’s Casa Day at Talen Energy Stadium.
