Philadelphia Union goalkeeper Andre Blake was subbed out in the 22nd minute of the 2017 Gold Cup Final against the United States with an injury to his right hand.

Blake stopped a shot by the United State’s Jozy Altidore and looked to have been kicked in the hand on a follow-up attempt by Kellyn Acosta. The Univision replay seemed to show a broken bone to one of his fingers, but it wasn’t clear which finger or fingers was broken or the severity of the injury.

The Jamaica medical staff came on the field and wrapped Blake’s hand and subbed him out immediately. In an absolutely heartbreaking scene, Blake was immediately surrounded by his teammates before he left the pitch to a rousing ovation from the mostly pro-United States crowd.

We’ll keep you updated on Andre’s condition as developments occur throughout the night.

Update: FS1 broadcast just reported that two X-Rays were done on Blake’s hand at the stadium. Both were negative.
