Czech Republic international playmaker Bořek Dočkal is reportedly on his way to the United States for a medical examination and contract negotiations with the Philadelphia Union.

The 29-year-old attacking midfielder has six goals in 27 caps for the Czech Republic national team since making his international debut in 2012. He had 4 goals in 23 appearances in 2017 for Chinese club Henan Jianye and has played for clubs in his native Czech Republic, Turkey and Norway.

Finding a playmaking central midfielder has been a priority for the Union in the offseason but to date there has been little movement or even solid rumors of movement to that end.

Of note with this particular report is that head coach Jim Curtin has mentioned Asia specifically in the past when talking about potential markets where the Union could find a game-changing playmaker.
