Andre Blake and Ethan White make Team of the Week
New franchise record holder Andre Blake and defender Ethan White earn a spot in the MLS Team of the Week.
Ethan White’s tweet to a fan about being put the MLS Team of the Week says it all:
@DrewGo_ “put the bottle down” lol

Ethan White is just as shocked as we are to see him on the same list as international stars like Sebastian Giovinco and Kaka. Personally, I did not see anything in his performance that really stood out to qualify for being named to Team of the Week, but whatever he did, its good to see him back to good form with Wednesday’s Cup Final right around the corner.
Andre Blake was a very obvious choice for the team of the week. Blake was the main cause of the Union escaping a throwaway game with a point with amazing save after amazing save. The Jamaican set the Union’s franchise record for most saves in a game with 10 against the New England Revolution on Saturday. It’s fairly safe to say that record will be in the record books for at least three or four years, as he had possibly the best performance of any goalkeeper in Union history.
