Game Thread
FT: Union win! Absolutely vital comeback. They now sit in 2nd, one point ahead of Atlanta United.
88’ Warren Creavalle is on for Monteiro to kill out the game.
84’ San Jose earn a penalty…until they don’t. Toledo overturns the call after video review. Collin was whistled for bringing down a San Jose player, but there was hardly any contact. Dodged a bullet there.
76’ Przybyłko scores!! The Union take the lead! Great cross from Jamiro.
70’ Goal Union!! Bedoya evens it up! Nice slotted finish from inside the box.
66’ Ilsinho feeds Przybyłko who forces a save out of Vega.
63’ Fafa Picault enters for Fabián. Definitely a 4-2-3-1 now. San Jose is still the much more threatening team.
54’ Ilsinho’s on for Wooten here.
47’ San Jose adds to their lead via Magnus Eriksson. But it looks like it’s coming back thanks to video review.
HT: Finally. Hoping for better after the break.
45+5’ Fabián’s bouncing effort from outside the box forces a bobble out of Vega, but that’s all it was.
44’ Monteiro hits it past the post from distance! Not too far away there.
42’ Fierro goes one-on-one with Blake but he can’t get it past him. Elliott clears after a weird bounce sends the ball back toward goal. Another great opportunity for the Quakes.
35’ San Jose opens the scoring. Very well-worked goal. Jackson Yueill taps in a Danny Hoesen redirect. Magnus Eriksson played in a beautiful entry pass to start that sequence.
33’ Fierro has been receiving treatment for a while. Took two studs to the forehead from Kacper Przybyłko.
29’ Kacper wins a corner after an odd shuffle with Guran Kashia. Elliott’s header goes just wide.
21’ Quakes come close there after an unforced giveaway from Gaddis near his own goal. Vako picked it up and sent in a ball for Fierro that Blake was able to intercept.
17’ Fabián with the Union’s best chance so far. Hard, low shot from 16’ saved by Vega.
15’ San Jose have had most of the ball here. The Union had one breakthrough early, but haven’t threatened since.
9’ Kai Wagner earns a yellow card for pulling down Carlos Fierro. Baldomero Toledo took a lengthy video review there, but decided not to further punish Wagner.
