It should come as no surprise who the player to garner the highest rating from the NYCFC win was in a fan poll.

Andre Blake put in a man of the match-type performance leading the Philadelphia Union to a clean sheet and a 1-0 win to open competition in Group A.

Blake was rewarded for his heroics with a 4.87 average rating in a five-point scale. He was followed by Alejandro Bedoya with a 4.31 average rating.

Head coach Jim Curtin finished third overall in the voting with an average of 4.3.

On the bottom of the poll was Ilsinho, who was a surprise start as a forward pairing with Kacper with Sergio Santos, Andrew Wooten and Michee Ngalina all injured.
