Chris Wondolowski re-signs with San Jose Earthquakes for 2021 season
Wondo is coming off a 2020 season in which he was once again San Jose’s leading scorer, with nine goals in all competitions, showing he was still a valuable player even at age 37. MLS’s all-time leading scorer, with 166 goals in regular season games, Wondo is now more than 20 goals beyond the 2nd place all-time scorer, Landon Donovan.
Gustav Svensson might be moving back to China
That Svensson is considering a move away from the Sounders and out of MLS should not be a huge surprise. That he might be going to China instead of returning to his native Sweden, though, is a bit more of one. Svensson has not been shy about his desire to eventually return to Sweden, where he started his career and still considers home.
