MLS teams with the most work to do ahead of 2021 season kickoff
Now that we have a start date for the 2021 MLS season, alarm bells are going off in earnest inside several front offices as technical departments enter the offseason home stretch with roster holes still to fill.

The Ghanaian winger scored the winning goal Aug. 12 as a substitute against FC Dallas in the club’s first match since the COVID-19 pandemic postponed the season in March.

The Crew signs veteran midfielder Perry Kitchen
Kitchen, 28, comes to Columbus after eight seasons in Major League Soccer playing for both D.C. United and the LA Galaxy. Kitchen also spent time in Europe, playing for Scottish club Hearts and Danish side Randers FC.

Rumor: San Jose Earthquakes to sign Miguel Layún?
Details of the offer were not reported, but Layún, a 32-year-old fullback who can play on both flanks, would be the biggest signing yet of the Matias Almeyda era.

Minnesota United acquire Jukka Raitala from CF Montreal
Raitala, 32, began his MLS career in 2017 by playing in 28 games with Columbus Crew SC before spending the last three seasons with the then-Montreal Impact. He started 63 of the 69 matches in which he appeared with Montreal, including all 15 in 2020.
