New York Red Bulls sign center back Issiar Drame

2022 CONCACAF World Cup Qualifying: Scouting Canada
This is the 37th all-time meeting between the two nations, with the USMNT holding a 16-9-11 advantage. Canada is rapidly becoming stronger, rolling through 2022 World Cup qualifying and reaching the semifinals of the recent Gold Cup. In the opening Octagonal match against Honduras, Les Rouges drew at home, 1-1, perhaps lucky to escape with a point.

Who will, and who should the USMNT start vs. Canada?
The potential return of Christian Pulisic should help a USMNT attack that struggled to generate chances against El Salvador, and he shouldn’t be the only new starter plugged into the front five to try and capitalize on Canada’s vulnerable backline.

European Qualifiers: Ukraine frustrate France, Netherlands cruise
France were forced to fight back to salvage a draw as an outstanding first-half strike from Ukraine’s Mykola Shaparenkoto threatened to shatter the Group D leaders’ unbeaten qualifying campaign. In Group F, Israel resisted an Austrian resurgence to stay second as Denmark increased their cushion at the top.
