Philadelphia Union can clinch top four finish with New York Red Bull result tonight

A win or draw for the Red Bulls at home against Atlanta United would help the Union

While the Philadelphia Union have only one game remaining in the regular season at New York City FC on Sunday, a result from their other New York rival tonight in Harrison, N.J. could secure them of a top four finish.

The New York Red Bulls are hosting Atlanta United tonight at Red Bull Arena in a match between teams in sixth and seventh place in the standings. Since Atlanta is on 47 points with two games remaining and would have a tiebreaker advantage over the Union with two additional wins, a loss or draw to the Red Bulls would wrap up at least one home playoff game for the boys in blue.

This doesn’t mean the Union would have nothing to play for on Sunday afternoon at Yankee Stadium, however. A win over New York City FC would guarantee them a second place finish.

Tonight’s Red Bull vs Atlanta match is scheduled to kick off at 7:38 p.m. and will be streamed live on ESPN+.
