Paxten Aaronson checked in for Mario Goetze on Sunday to make his Bundesliga debut with Eintracht Frankfurt.

Frankfurt lost the match 2-0, ironically enough to a team named the Union: Union Berlin.

Aaronson, a 19-year-old former Philadelphia Union homegrown from Medford, N.J., officially transferred to Eintracht Frankfurt in January. The deal was reportedly worth $4 million plus add-ons and a sell-on percentage that will come back to the Union.

The younger brother of Leeds United and USMNT midfielder Brenden Aaronson, Paxten made his senior national team debut in January.
