A dramatic conclusion to the 2023 Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League is on the docket beginning on Wednesday night, as Club Leon of Liga MX welcome in Los Angeles FC of Major League Soccer to the Estadio Leon in Leon, Mexico for the first leg of the Final.

U.S. beats New Zealand 4-0 to cruise into U20 World Cup quarterfinals
Austin FC’s Owen Wolff got the opening goal of the contest with a low shot that caught out New Zealand goalkeeper Kees Sims in the 14th minute. Cade Cowell then continued his fine performances at the tournament by netting a third goal in three games in the 61st minute to double the U.S. advantage.

USMNT to play October friendlies against Germany, Ghana
U.S. Soccer announced that the USMNT will take on Germany in a friendly on October 14th at Rentschler Field in East Hartford, with kickoff set for 3:00pm ET. Then, the USMNT will head to Nashville’s GEODIS Park to face Ghana on October 17th. Kickoff for that match is set for 8:30pm ET.

B.J. Callaghan to replace Anthony Hudson as interim USMNT head coach
Callaghan will assume control of the USMNT for the upcoming Concacaf Nations League Finals as well as the Concacaf Gold Cup, which both begin next month. He served as an assistant head coach for the USMNT for the past 4 years, serving under former coach Gregg Berhalter as well as Anthony Hudson before being elevated.
