Trinidad & Tobago replaces Nicaragua, joins USMNT in Gold Cup group stage
Trinidad & Tobago will take Nicaragua’s place in the upcoming tournament after Concacaf removed Nicaragua from the competition for a severe violation of the applicable FIFA/Concacaf regulations by fielding an ineligible player in eight men’s national team matches. In addition, Nicaragua has been relegated to League B for the 2023-24 Concacaf Nations League.
