Philadelphia native Zion Scarlett signs with Greenville Triumph

Philadelphia native Zion Scarlett has joined the Greenville Triumph ahead of the USL League One season.

The 19-year-old former Philadelphia Union Academy and FC Delco striker turned pro with the Columbus Crew 2 in 2022 after joining the organization’s academy in 2020. His opportunities in MLS Next Pro were limited by injuries during his time with the club. He logged just 30 minutes over two seasons with Crew 2.

Scarlett has also represented Jamaica on the youth international level.

Prior to his time with in the Philadelphia Union Academy, Scarlett played locally for Lower Merion SC.
