One of the standout performers of the MLS Next Pro season will sadly not see the season out.

Philadelphia Union released a statement on August 15 confirming the permanent transfer of Sanders Ngabo to AC Horsens.

The fee was undisclosed.

Ngabo, 20, joined the Union in January 2024 on a two-year contract from the Danish Superliga, and recorded a pair of assists in 17 appearances for Union II. Though he was brought in on a first team contract he never made an appearance with the senior team.

He returns to his home country to play in the first division of the second tier in the Danish Football League.

Ngabo made his Horsens debut off the bench in a 1-0 loss to Kolding on August 16 and started Horsens’ last two games. They currently sit second in the table with seven matches played.
