Nine local youth teams advance to National League semifinals

Nine local youth teams advanced to the semifinals of the US Youth Soccer National League in events held over the past two weekends in Arizona.

Four girls teams advanced this past weekend, joining five boys teams in the next phase of competition in the National League, which provides a platform for teams to compete against teams across the country and gain entry to the US Youth Soccer National Championships.

The National League semifinals will be held in two locations, in Round Rock, Texas in February and in Oceanside, Calif. in May.

Six different clubs had teams advance.

Hex FC is sending their 2009 and 2011 girls teams and 2006/2007 boys team to Oceanside. YMS is sending their 2010 boys team to Round Rock in and their 2008 boys team to Oceanside. FC Europa’s 2008 girls team and 1776 United’s 2008 girls team are heading to Round Rock along with Quaker Elite Magicians (Boys U16) and Keystone FC Premier 2007 boys team.
