Voorhees, N.J. native Kelli McGroarty had herself a day on Sunday, scoring four goals in a record-breaking afternoon for Iowa in their 5-0 win at Missouri State.

McGroarty, an Eastern Regional High School grad and former 1776 United FC standout, found the back of the net in the 42nd minute for her first goal of the season and added a quick second a minute later before scoring two more goals in the second half to lead the Hawkeyes (5-1-1).

McGroarty, who missed most of last season with an injury, now has 25 career goals in 73 appearances over her college career, which began during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic with La Salle. She now has 11 goals and 5 assists during her time with Iowa, which was ranked No. 11 in the most recent United Soccer Coaches poll.
