Philadelphia native Nyk Sessock has traded one rival for another in the offseason, signing on with Atlanta United 2 for the upcoming MLS Next Pro season after spending the last two seasons with Inter Miami II.

The Philadelphia Union Academy graduate and Philadelphia Ukrainian Nationals alum had a pair of goals and 11 assists for Inter Miami II in 27 appearances.

The 24-year-old signed an MLS Next Pro deal after playing college soccer at Indiana University and the University of Pittsburgh.

Sessock is one of six defenders signed to the Atlanta United 2 team for the 2025 season, which kicks off next Friday against NYRB II at Fifth Third Stadium in Cobb County, Georgia.

He’ll have a chance to re-visit his former organization when Union II hosts Atlanta United II on April 10.
