La Salle and Saint Joseph’s lead their respective groups heading into the final group matches of the Philly Soccer 6 Cup.

La Salle picked up all three points in a 1-0 win over Rider on Friday night in North group action while Saint Joseph’s captured three points in their 2-1 win over Villanova on Saturday to take a slight lead in the South group.

Any result for La Salle in their match at Temple on Friday night (7 p.m. kickoff) will put them in the first place match on April 12 at WSFS Bank Sportsplex while a win for Temple would put them through to the championship match. The second place teams in each group and third place teams in each group will face off in simultaneous 8 p.m. kickoffs on the 12th.

Saint Joseph’s and Drexel are separated only by the Hawks two goals scored to Drexel’s one so a win for either team or penalty shootout win in the case of a draw will decide the other team that plays in the championship. Drexel will host Saint Joseph’s on Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. 6 p.m.
