2024 South Jersey Coaches Cup Semifinal between Paul VI and Easter

The South Jersey Coaches Cup will kick off this weekend with first round games for both the girls and boys competitions.

Pairings were announced Sunday with Paul VI on the girls side and Saint Augustine Prep on the boys side grabbing the No. 1 seeds. Defending champions Shawnee boys and Shawnee girls are ranked No. 4 and No. 2 respectively in the 16-team tournaments.

Haddon Township boys, which won the competition in 2022, just missed the cut-off in the final poll while 2023 girls champions Sterling are also not in the field. Cherry Hill West girls just missed out as No. 17 in the final girls poll.

Kingsway will host Washington Township in the girls 8 v 9 seed match-up and Cherokee will host Cinnaminson in the boys 8 v 9 match-up.

The South Jersey Soccer Coaches Association has held the tournament for boys dating back to 1971 and for girls dating back to 1984. Shawnee won their 13th title in 2024 while Lenape has the most girls titles with 12.

Schedule:
Oct. 24. – Round 1 at higher seed
Oct. 27 – Round 2 at higher seed
Oct 29 Semifinals at DeCou in Cherry Hill at 6 and 8 p.m. (highest remaining seed at 8 p.m.)
Nov 1. Finals at DeCou in Cherry Hill – Girls at 4:30 p.m., Boys at 6:30 p.m.
