College Power Rankings: Rowan teams unbeaten, West Chester rising
Women
Rowan (9-0-0, 4-0-0)
The Profs kept their perfect season going with a pair of shutout wins last week, a 2-0 win at Ramapo mid-week and a 1-0 win over New Paltz at home on Saturday. Sophomore goalkeeper Enya Carthy (Haddonfield, N.J.) had clean sheets in both matches, her 4th and 5th of the season and Sara Weideman’s 7th of the season and Cailey Bozinis’s third of the year were the deciders. Rowan is up to No. 5 in the latest NCAA Division III NPI rankings.
West Chester (9-1-1, 7-1-1)
Since dropping a 1-0 game at Kutztown in late September, the Golden Rams have been on a roll with four straight wins while outscoring opponents 15-2. Kianna Barber (Browns Mills, N.J.) has led the attack with six goal contributions over the last three matches with a brace in their latest game and four assists in the previous two matches.
Villanova (8-0-5, 3-0-2)
The Wildcats are still unbeaten but their defense took a bit of a hit in a 3-3 draw at Providence on Saturday. It was their second straight draw in Big East play and the Friars offensive output was equal to the total number of goals conceded in Villanova’s first 12 matches. Despite the disappointing draw in a game they led 3-1 at the hour mark, Villanova is on top of the Big East standings with 11 points and in a good position to make the conference tournament. At No. 46 in the latest RPI rankings, Villanova’s path to an NCAA tournament game will be via a Big East championship.
Swarthmore (8-1-2, 5-0-1)
The Garnet stretched their unbeaten streak to eight with a 1-0 win over Ursinus on Saturday night. Elin Bash had the lone goal just before halftime after a second half surge sparked a 5-0 win over Muhlenberg earlier in the week. Swarthmore is ranked No. 17 in the NCAA Division III NPI rankings.
Jefferson (7-1-2, 6-0-0)
The Rams are putting together another fine season with their only loss of the season coming against Division 1 Penn in mid-September. They had a six-goal offensive explosion against Lincoln and a 2-0 win over Felician last week to get to seven wins on the season and are undefeated in conference play.
Delaware (8-2-4, 3-0-1)
The Blue Hens are two points behind first place Liberty in the Conference USA standings and are unbeaten in five straight after a loss at Villanova. They battled back from a two-goal deficit in the rain at home on Sunday against Western Kentucky, getting goals from Maggie Groh and Brooke Vogel (Mickleton, N.J.) to grab the point. They are No. 67 in the RPI.
Temple (9-3-2, 2-1-2)
The Owls have already compiled their best season record since 2015 when they were 12-7-1 but bouncing back from a tough 2-2 draw at home to East Carolina on a last second video review penalty on the road at South Florida was one of their bigger feats of the season yet. First-year midfielder Linnea Linden was the hero with her first collegiate goal in the 25th minute and first-year goalkeeper Ana Zivkovic made six saves to record the clean sheet. The Owls are currently in fifth place in the American Athletic standings.
Rowan College South Jersey-Gloucester (7-0-1, 3-0-1)
The Roadrunners continue to be one of the top junior college women’s programs around and were ranked No. 7 in the most recent United Soccer Coaches national poll for NJCAA Division III. Charlie May Masteller (Deptford, N.J.) leads the attack with 10 goals and goalkeeper Laila Mateo (Moorestown, N.J.) has recorded five clean sheets.
Rutgers-Camden (7-1-3, 3-1-0)
After losing their NJAC opener to Stockton, Rutgers-Camden has won three straight, including one-goal road wins over William Paterson and Kean last week.
La Salle (7-4-3, 4-1-1)
The Explorers are just a point out of the top spot in the Atlantic 10 standings after a 5-2 win at VCU on Sunday. Justyce Hollenbach has scored in three straight and leads the team with 10 goals on the year.
Honorable Mention
Cairn (7-3-2)
Through 12 games, Cairn has 44 goals to lead all local teams (Villanova is 10 behind with 34). Ella Quince (11 goals, 6 assists) and Josey Smith (12 goals, 4 assists) lead their potent attack.
Men
Rowan (9-0-2, 3-0-1)
The Profs are No. 5 in the NPI rankings and are even with Montclair State with 10 points in the NJAC standings. They won their third straight match at New Paltz over the weekend behind a brace from rookie DJ Mosley (Fairton, N.J.).
Neumann (8-3-1, 3-0-0)
Neumann’s inaugural season in the MAC Commonwealth is off to a pretty good start as they’ve gone 3-0 and are even with Messiah at the top of the standings.
Arcadia (5-3-4, 2-0-1)
Arcadia struggled against NJAC opponents with all three of their losses to Rutgers-Camden, Stockton and Rowan, but they are the early frontrunners in the MAC Freedom with a 2-0-1 start.
Haverford (9-3-1, 2-3-0)
The Fords have been brought back down to earth with three losses this season after an unbeaten 2025 campaign but despite their struggles in conference play they are still a very strong team led in the attack by Charles Sharp (9 goals, 3 assists) and Thomas Vanni (7 goals, 2 assists) and on the defensive side of the field by towering center backs Josh Brown and Connor Gustafson.
Penn State Abington (6-4-3, 5-0-0)
After a challenging non-conference slate, Penn State Abington has been on a tear and are off to a United East lead with five straight wins.
Delaware (7-2-5, 0-0-2)
The Blue Hens are going to need to figure out a way to turn draws into wins after two straight ties to begin Summit League play. Travel is brutal in the league but they’ll have a big opportunity hosting Kansas City this weekend to pick up points in the standings.
Swarthmore (4-6-2, 3-2)
The Garnet was pretty underwhelming in non-conference play but they are still within striking distance of Johns Hopkins in first place in the Centennial Conference standings with 9 points. They’ve scored 8 goals in their last games, wins over McDaniel and Ursinus. One of their strengths that is serving them well in conference play is a deep bench. They have 12 players with at least a goal this season.
Eastern (6-2-3, 1-1-0)
The Eagles have had a solid season under head coach Luca Mellor but they need to continue their non-conference form into MAC Commonwealth play to have a hope of making a postseason run.
Widener (7-4-1, 1-2)
Widener has stumbled going into conference play with two straight losses, one at Neumann and the other at home against traditional power Messiah.
Penn (4-2-3, 1-1-1)
The Quakers went head-to-head with Cornell but came up short in an 8-goal thriller, conceding twice after tying the game in the 64th minute.
Honorable Mention
Immaculata (3-9-0, 2-1-0)
The Mighty Macs equaled their win total from 2025 with a 4-2 win over Gwnned Mercy. Four different goal scorers contributed to the win and a total of eight have chipped in goals for the 2026 season.
