Philadelphia Union Academy hiring Director of Talent Identification

The Philadelphia Union Academy is looking to hiring an individual to manage the identification and recruitment process of youth players for the club.

According to a job posting for the Director of Talent Identification, the aim of the position is to draw the “most talented players into the Philadelphia Union player pool.”

Responsibilities will include establishing a network of local scouts, organizing trials and developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders like U.S. Soccer scouts, club coaches and directors.

Some of the qualifications they are seeking for the position are being “familiar with the Philadelphia Union catchment area, local club structure, and the unique culture of Metro Philadelphia youth soccer” and someone who “possesses an eye for talent and an engaging personality necessary in recruitment.”

The full job posting can be found here on Major League Soccer’s website, and the posting lists YSC Sports in Wayne, PA as the job location.
