The Jamaican Football Federation released their roster ahead of their Caribbean Cup Qualifying match with Suriname, with the Philadelphia Union’s Andre Blake and Bethlehem Steel FC’s Cory Burke on Winfried Schäfer’s list. Jamaica will play Suriname on October 5 at the Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex in Kingston, Jamaica, and then will face Union teammate Warren Creavalle and Guyana on October 11 at the National Track and Field Facility in Leonora, Guyana.

Jamaica is joining the tournament in the third round, having been allowed to skip the first two rounds due to their participation in 2018 World Cup Qualifying. They enter in a group with 118th ranked Guyana and 175th ranked Suriname. The winner of the group will qualify not only for the 2017 Caribbean Cup but the 2017 Gold Cup as well. Second place will get to play in a round robin with the two other second place teams, with the winner going into a playoff to make the Gold Cup.

It is not expected that Blake, Burke, or Creavalle will miss time with the Union. The Union play the New York Red Bulls on October 1 and are off until they face Orlando City on October 16.
