Caribbean Cup Qualifying postponed

Jamaica vs. Suriname has been postponed due to Hurricane Matthew

The Caribbean Football Union announced that the Caribbean Cup Third Round Qualifying match between Jamaica and Suriname has been postponed. The match, which was originally scheduled for today, was postponed due to Hurricane Matthew. As of this writing, no make up date has been announced.

Hurricane Matthew skirted the eastern side of Jamaica, where the capital of Kingston is. An estimated four to six inches fell on eastern Jamaica, with some areas possibly receiving a foot or more. Haiti and western Cuba bore the brunt of Hurricane Matthew, with upwards of three feet of rain falling in Haiti. While the match in Port-au-Prince between Haiti and French Guiana has not been officially postponed, it is highly unlikely it will go on as planned.

The Caribbean Football Union has said that it does not expect that the other matches will be affected, however the scope of this disaster is still not fully known.
