One of college soccer’s best rivalries is returning to Talen Energy Stadium with the sixth edition of the Army-Navy Cup scheduled for Sunday, October 15.

The match will be played at 2 p.m. between the Naval Academy and Army West Point and follows a Friday night match between Villanova and Georgetown that will serve as a kind of test run for the Friday and Sunday matches of the College Cup returning to the home of the Philadelphia Union for the second time on December 8 and 10.

The Army-Navy Cup has drawn some of the largest crowds in college soccer since coming to Chester, surpassing the 10,000 fan mark twice with 10,092 last year and 10,168 in 2014. An average of 8,133 fans have turned out to the five matches since 2012.

Army won the match last year 1-0 after picking up its first win in the series on a 2-1 victory in 2015. Navy has also won twice and one match ended in a draw. The overall series between the two military academies is led by Navy with a 40-29-14 mark.

Navy finished 7-10-1 with a 3-6-0 record in the Patriot League last season while Army had a 9-8-2 overall record and a 4-4-1 record in the Patriot League.
