Carlos “El Pescadito” Ruiz Now Linked To Guatemala’s Comunicaciones

Former Los Angeles Galaxy star striker Carlos Ruiz is now linked to a club other than the Philadelphia Union.

Prensa Libre, which was quoted in the original reports linking Ruiz to the Union, put out an article on Valentine’s Day that Ruiz had discussed a contract but could not come to terms with the Union. The site says that “talks did not progress” and Ruiz “continues to seek a new destiny.”

Here's what the site quotes Ruiz as saying:

Univision, through its soccer specific site, says that Ruiz has had discussions with at least one member of Comunicaciones’ front office.

The site also says that the team's coach, Ivan Franco, has no knowledge of any discussions with Ruiz.
