Union Fail In Negotiations With Augsburg For German Striker Michael Thurk

Published

on

The Philadelphia Union attempted to bring striker Michael Thurk to America, but German news outlet Zeit Online is reporting that Augsburg could not come to terms on a move.

Here's a (loose) translation of the article, with quotes from Thurk's agent/consultant:

Thurk was supposedly looking for a way out of Ausburg after the team declared he was a surplus to requirements during the team's preseason. Ausburg was promoted to the Bundesliga after finishing second in 2. Bundesliga, with the help of Thurk's goals (51 goals in 104 league games since 2008 for FCA).
