90+7’ – Blake makes another great save for Philadelphia.

90+6’ – Fontana picks up the U’s fourth yellow card of the night.

90+6’ – LAFC gets their 11th corner of the night. Which amounts to nothing.

90+4’ Elliott is subbed on for Martinez.

90+3’ – Martinez is on the ground again and the boos from the LAFC crowd reigns down on him.

90’ – open another energy drink, we have 6’ left in this rollercoaster of a game.

89’ – The corner, while started off good, ended with nothing.

88’ – Union earn a free kick on the side of right side of the penalty box.

85’ – Blake saves a header from Rossi. His seventh of the night, 3-3.

84’ – Union going real young fourth homegrown player is now on the field. Fontana comes on for Bedoya

83’ – Vela has a deflected shot that goes out.

81’ – LAFC makes their third and final sub of the night. Mohamed El-Munir for Diego Palacios

79’ – Play resumes and Martinez does another costume change. He is in his third shirt for the night.

77’ – Martinez is down again, broadcast just said it's the fifth time tonight.

73’ – LAFC subs. Union also sub in Ilsinho for Santos.

71’ – Corner kick leads to the second goal from a corner back. LAFC’s Eddie Segura levels the game 3-3

69’ – Aaronson finally gets the goal he has been working for all night. 3-2

68’ – LAFC makes their first sub

67’ – Glesnes almost gets his second goal of the night with a header that hits the crossbar.

66’ – Some miss touches and the ball falls to Vela’s foot at the top of the box. His shot goes over the net. 2-2

62’ – The U back at full strength. Bedoya gets called for a foul for tripping.

61’ – Union playing a man down because Martinez is on the sideline trying to get a clean shirt on.

58’ – Play resumes with an LAFC corner, which amounts to nothing.

56’ – Blake stops the first shot, saves the rebound shot with his face. He has six saves so far tonight, and is once again on the ground.

52’ – Rossi is on the end of a kick from Palacios which goes into the net. But Rossi is once again ruled offsides.

48’ – Rossi gets the ball passed to him inside the penalty box, shots it up into the right side of the net. Ties the game 2-2.

47’ – Union get a free kick after. WHAT… Glesnes with a strike, I mean a strike from around 40 yards out. Union 2-1

46’ – Second half gets underway at 12:04. Happy Monday everyone!

Halftime thoughts: I’m really enjoying the high tempo press from the boys in blue. They’re doing well to get the ball into the opponents side of the pitch, they just need to finish in the final third. They have also done a good job keeping Vela in check, with at times sending three people to cover him.

45+8’ – We finally hit half time. Okay time for everyone to grab some last minute caffeine, we still got some time to go.

45+4’ – Bedoya talks his way into a yellow card complaining about what he thought was a foul.

45+2’ – Diego Palacios is carded for a takedown on Martinez.

45’ – 8 minutes of stoppage time being added. Not shocked, The U had 4 players on the ground with 2 of them for a long period of time.

43’ – Martinez gets a yellow for a late tackle.

42’ – Probably like the 4th time FS1 mention the U23’s roster reveal coming up at halftime.

40’ – Sloppy giveaway picked up from Santos, who passes it to Kacper Przybulko but his shot gets blocked by Vermeer.

37’ – Free Kick awarded to LAFC, the spot is just a few yards outside of the box. Vela takes the kick and strikes it right into the upper corner of the net. LAFC ties the game 1-1

36’ – Santos is down on the field. That makes 4 Union players who have been down.

33’ – Gaddis enters the book with a yellow card.

29’ – Sergio Santos from over 20 yards out hits it into the back of the net, Philadelphia Union 1-0.

28’ – Aaronson chips it to the other side of the penalty box. But no one is on the other end. =

26’ – Play resumes, Philly playing with 10 men.

24’ – Third Union player on the ground. Martinez goes to the ground, and gets kicked in the face. Now is getting treatment for a bloody nose.

22’ – Blake with another save. Vela pushes the pass behind him, where Blackman shoots it into a diving Blake.

20’ – Monteiro plays it long to Santos, who is offsides.

18’ – Blake stays in net, play resumes with a corner for LAFC. Which amounts to nothing.

17’ – Trainers and the MLS medical staff are still looking at Blake.

14’ – A good ball behind the defense and Vela tries to get on the end of it, with a charging Blake. Blake knocks the ball out of the way and gets a nice kick in the head from Vela.

7’ – Carlos Vela flicks the ball to Rossi who shoots it directly to Blake, who makes the save.

4’ – Diego Rossi slips behind the U’s defense, Andre Blake comes out and Rossi’s shot goes into the net. However, the assistant referee’s flag was up for offsides.

Also Raymon Gaddis spent a lot of time on the pitch and the trainers are with him.

1’ – After what feels like forever the game is finally underway.

Starting Lineups

Midfielder El Brujo Martinez makes his Union debut in the starting XI. Warren Creavalle, who started last week is not part of the selection. Creavalle was listed as questionable with an upper leg injury.

Andrew Wooten is available to come in, he was unavailable last week because of an injury.
