Jack McGlynn pulled off the feat of graduating high school and scoring a goal on the same day with a penalty kick in a 2-1 win for Philadelphia Union 2 in a friendly against DC United at Audi Field.

McGlynn was part of the 2021 YSC Academy graduating class that participated in a ceremony at YSC Sports near King of Prussia Friday morning. Fellow Philadelphia Union homegrown Cole Turner scored the game-winner in the match.

Additional details of the match beyond the two videos the Philadelphia Union posted on social media were not published.

Union 2’s next scheduled match is July 10 at Richmond Kickers on July 10.
