Game Updates

90+13′- And Bueno is shown a Red card after the VAR. And we won’t even have another kick as the ref blows the whistle and ends the game.

90+7′- And it is breaking all here, and it started when Blake was thrown into the advertising boards by Barrios. Colorado is playing down a man after Galván is given a red for a rugby tackle on Glesnes. Before the game restarts, the ref is heading to the monitor. I am only assuming they will upgrade the yellow to Barrios to a red for the two-handed shove on Blake.

90+5′- The ball eventually went out of play for a goal kick.

90+3′- Double Switch for the Union here as Bueno and Harriel replace Bedoya and comes on for Mbaizo. All of this as another flair up between Mbaizo and a rapids player. We are waiting for Colorado to throw the ball in.

90+2′ – Union with a poor clearance here that turns into a corner for Colorado. The Union easily handles the service from the far flag.

90+1- We will have at least 6 minutes of stoppage time.

83′- Curtin is finally making changes here as Real replaces McGlynn and Donovan comes on for Carranza.

79′- Rapid’s Nicholson is shown a yellow card.

72′- Colorado making their second change of the night. This time it is a double switch bringing on Barrios and Acosta for Abubakar and Cabral.

67′- Free kick for Colorado is played past the far post. The rapids can play it back toward the center of the net, but they couldn’t get squared up on the frame and the ball was sent out of play for a goal kick.

63′- Blake is dealing with a little pressure here as Colorado gets off a can of quick shots. Play gets stopped, and the Rapids’ Cabral is shown a yellow card for continuing to run and ultimately making contact with Blake’s head.

59′- Rapids make their first change of the night. Bringing on Galván for Markanich

52′- Carranza with a beautiful goal of his own and puts the U up 2-1. Mcglynn Drives the ball over the top to a streaking Mbaizo. Mbaizo runs up the right side of the box and cuts the ball back to Carranza, who is just entering the top of the 18-yard box. Carranza gets the ball and shoots it right past Colorado’s goalie.

46′- The game resumes in Colorado.

HALF

45+6′-The Union with back-to-back corners here. The first one from the far-flag went by everyone. The second one from the near flag was played directly to the top of the box, where McGlynn stood. McGlynn was able to get a shot off, but it was blocked. That would also be the last Union action in the half as the whistle is blown for half.

45+2′- WHAT A GOALLLL from Kai Wagner. The left-back from outside the top of the box sends the ball past the goalkeeper to level the game.

45+1- We will have at least 7 minutes of stoppage time before the teams head to the locker rooms for half.

42′- Abubakar is shown a yellow card now after a late head-to-head with Elliott. But you could also say that the Rapids center-back has wanted a card, as he has been vocal and had some words with the U.

41′- Flach is shown a yellow call for a sliding tackle.

38′- Blake guessed the right side, but the Rapids went to the top shelf and, with good pace, went right by Blake. Colorado is up 1-nil.

37′- The ref is back from the monitor and points to the spot. Colorado is now setting up for a kick from the penalty spot against Blake.

35′- Terrible decision by Lowe as he runs through a Colorado player at the top of the box. But the ref is going to the monitor to see if he was inside the edge of the box.

29′- Mbaizo makes a deep run up the right side and gets in a 2v1 situation. However, he drives the ball into the defender, which goes out for a corner. Wagner’s ball is driven to the near flag and was defended by Colorado.

24′- Third corner of the night for the Union, and it is coming again from the near flag. Service is sent to the near post and then is flicked towards the far post. The Union dribbled it out of the penalty area, and their second chance ball went out for a throw-in.

21′- Bedoya with a little hard of a kick on a Rapids player, and that player falls down to the ground. The ref then brings out the yellow card for Bedoya.

19′- Rapid’s Wilson is shown an early yellow card here for a late tackle on Carranza.

16′- Carranza with a great run and beat the keeper, who went down near the top of the 18-yard box, but he couldn’t get the angle right, and the ball went out of play for a goal kick.

12′- The corner for the Union comes from the near flag. Wagner sends a good ball into the box. Their second chance ball gets swung back in the box, back out, and back into the box for Carranza to put it into the net eventually. But, the ball went out of play, so it was whistled a corner kick for Philly. As the ball was in the air, the ref whistled for a foul, but the Union would also put that ball into the back of the net—two great chances early on here for the U.

7′- Blake stops a shot after a quick reaction from him. Colorado got a ball in the box, and their striker quickly turned just outside the six-yard box to get his shot off on frame.

4′- The first corner of the game goes to Colorado. The Union easily defends its service from the far flag. The play is stopped as the ref is talking to Lowe, and now the doctor and training staff runs onto the field to look at him.

1′- Game gets underway. The Union in the cream ‘cloud’ kits are attacking left to right here in the first half.
