Semifinals for EPSA Frank Giancroce Open Cup set

The EPSA Frank Giancroce Open Cup is down to four teams as Bryn Athyn College is set to host semifinals for the annual state cup competition next Sunday.
Vereinigung Erzgebirge came from behind to beat Kensington SC in the first of three quarterfinals played at Bryn Athyn on Sunday. Philadelphia Ukrainian Nationals topped Unity Rising and Colonial SC beat West Chester United Reserves with a 90th minute goal in the other two quarterfinal matches. United German Hungarians forfeited their match against West Chester United.
VE will take on Colonial SC March 9 at Bryn Athyn followed by West Chester United playing the Ukies at 2 p.m. The final will be played at Bryn Athyn on March 23 at noon.
The Open Cup is one of two open adult division state cups played annually. West Chester United beat Colonial SC in the EPSA Bill O’Neill Amateur Cup in December.
