Union Academy grad Jack Jasinski signs with San Jose Earthquakes
Philadelphia Union Academy grad and former Philadelphia Union II standout Jack Jasinski has signed on with San Jose Earthquakes on a first team deal for 2026.
Philadelphia Union Academy grad and former Philadelphia Union II standout Jack Jasinski has signed on with San Jose Earthquakes on a first team deal for 2026, the team announced on Thursday.
Jasinski, 22, was selected in the second round of the 2026 MLS SuperDraft out of Princeton. The Charlotte, N.C. native graduated from the Philadelphia Union Academy and YSC Academy in 2022. He led Philadelphia Union II in scoring in 2021 and after spending time with the first team in preseason in 2022 received high praise from then head coach Jim Curtin, who predicted he would be a “10-year pro.”
“Jack is a promising player,” Earthquakes Sporting Director and Head Coach Bruce Arena said in a news release. “We are looking forward to seeing him develop in San Jose and believe he has the potential to have a productive career in Major League Soccer.”
Jasinski’s contract is for the 2026 season with club options through the 2028-29 season.
“I’m really excited to sign my first professional contract,” Jasinski said in a news release. “I’m grateful to the San Jose Earthquakes for their belief in me and thankful for everyone who has helped me get to this point. I’m looking forward to a great season.”
Jasinski was a second team All-American, first team All-Region and first team All-Ivy League in his final season at Princeton. Last summer he played a key role in helping lead West Chester United to their first ever National Amateur Cup title, which secured a place in the 2026 U.S. Open Cup.
He joins Philadelphia Union Academy alum Jack Skahan (also a North Carolina native) and Reading United alum Paul Marie on the Earthquakes roster.
