Warrington, Pa. native Riley Karpinski scored a remarkable goal from 20 yards out to lead Virginia Tech to a 2-1 win over Pitt in Pittsburgh on Thursday night.

The goal was the former FC Delco and Central Bucks South standout’s third goal of her rookie campaign in Blacksburg. She scored goals against Old Dominion and Maryland in her first two games for the Hokies back in August. Virginia Tech improved to 5-1-3 on the season and 1-0 in ACC play. Pitt fell to 6-3-1.
