Corben Bone loaned out to USL PRO’s Wilmington Hammerheads
The Philadelphia Union loans attacking midfielder Corben Bone to the Wilmington Hammerheads of USL PRO.
The Philadelphia Union have announced a loan agreement with USL PRO’s Wilmington Hammerheads for the services of attacking midfielder Corben Bone.
Bone was selected by the Union in the 2013 Re-Entry Draft after playing four seasons for the Chicago Fire and seeing a total of 26 minutes in the last two years, John Hackworth was familiar with Bone due to him being in Hackworth’s USYNT U-17 camp back in 2005.
I'm sure this is a welcomed opportunity for the 26 year old former First Round pick, as third division seems like a more likely place for him to get minutes.
Bone has seen a limited amount of playing time this year, a total of thirteen minutes in two league games – including the infamous game against Sporting Kansas City where he received a red card within a minute of coming on as a substitute.
In Wilmington Hammerheads, Bone joins a team in shambles, coming off a 2–1 loss at home against the last place Dayton Dutch Lions.
