The United States Women’s National Team continues its fall friendly series Sunday night when it takes on the Netherlands at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Ga. at 7 p.m. ET.

The USA is coming off a 9-0 drubbing of Thailand on Thursday in Heather O’Reilly’s farewell match and will face the hosts of next year’s European Women’s Championship. The Americans are 5-1-0 all time against the Netherlands and will look to build upon their impressive 17-0-3 record in 2013.

The US roster comprises of the 21 players named to the Olympics with a few subtractions. Morgan O’Brien and Mallory Pugh, who were not in the squad Thursday due to concussion-like symptoms and ankle rehab, respectively, remain out for Sunday. Heather O’Reilly departed the squad after her retirement, and defender Kelly O’Hara will be out after a death in her family.

The Americans have had an explosive attack all year long with over 60 goals through 23 games, and 41 of those goals have come from just three players. Alex Morgan has a team-high 15 goals, Carli Lloyd has 14, and Crystal Dunn has 12. The trio had six of the team’s nine goals against Thailand.

The Netherlands are another up-and-coming team similar to Thailand. The Dutch made their first ever World Cup appearance in 2015 and advanced to the knockout round as a third place team, before losing to finalists Japan, 2-1, in the round of 16.

The two sides have met three times since 2000, and the US won the last meeting in 2013, 3-1, after a goal from Tobin Heath and a brace from Christen Press.  

The player to watch for the Oranje is 20-year-old Vivianne Medema. Medema scored 16 goals in World Cup qualifying and has 26 goals in her first 37 international caps. She plays for Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga.

Head Coach Jill Ellis named Ashlyn Harris as the starter in goal for the Americans on Thursday and she earned a comfortable shutout. She may choose to give Alyssa Naeher the start on Sunday night.

In what shapes up to be a mild test for the Americans, another storyline is the continued anthem protests of USA star Megan Rapinoe. She knelt during the national anthem in an NWSL game and on Thursday against Thailand to follow the lead started by NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick. The USSF issued a statement expecting its players to stand for the anthem, and if she continues her protests, there could be repercussions.
