Philadelphia Union left back Matthew Real is over in Austria training with Austrian Bundesliga club SKN St. Pölten.

A tweet from the club on Thursday mentioned the 20-year-old homegrown. A spokesperson from the team confirmed that he is there for a training opportunity, something head coach Jim Curtin mentioned they’d be pursuing for some of the younger players in the squad during the off-season.

The Drexel Hill native has an option available for 2020. He’s one of 12 players with options for next season. He made three appearances in 2019 with a start against Montreal Impact and had an assist in a 1-minute cameo against Orlando in July. He made 18 appearances and logged 1,619 minutes for Bethlehem Steel FC, playing both as a central defender and left back.

UPDATE: Looks like Anthony Fontana might also be in Austria
