The club is live-streaming the preseason match on its website philadelphiaunion.com. This is the first of two games that will be streamed. It is also the U’s second preseason game.

The Union come into today’s match, off a loss against Orlando City SC. In that match the U lost 1-0. The only goal in that contest came in the second half when Alexander Alvarado scored in the 61 minute. Chicago Fire also comes into the match dropping their first friendly against NYCFC 2-1.

Today’s friendly will not be just 90’, but instead will include extra time. This way the two team’s role players will get a chance to get their legs stretched. Head coach Jim Curtin said he plans to split the 120 minutes evenly between the starters and his substitutes.
