McCarthy wins another, Kacper records assist, Flores debuts and more from Matchday 5

John McCarthy picked up his third win of the season with a pair of saves and Kacper Przybylko recorded an assist in Chicago Fire’s 3-2 win over Inter Miami to highlight the week in players with local ties.

While Jamiro Monteiro and Cory Burke were both away on international duty, several other players saw action.

Derrick Jones played the full 90 and Ben Bender had a 9-minute cameo while Pablo Sisniega dressed but didn’t play for Charlotte FC in their 1-1 draw with the Red Bulls. Carlos Coronel made a save in the draw for the Red Bulls.

Tyler Miller made three saves and Russell Canouse played all 90 minutes in a 2-1 loss for DC United against the New England Revolution.

Shanyder Borgelin played 32 minutes off the bench for Inter Miami in their 3-2 loss to Chicago. Fabian Herbers played 62 minutes for Chicago and Przybylko logged a 63-minute shift.

Keegan Rosenberry played the full 90 in Colorado’s 1-1 draw with Austin FC.

Matt Freese didn’t play for NYCFC in their 1-0 loss to Houston

YSC Academy and Union Academy grad Danny Flores made his MLS debut, logging 6 minutes for Sporting Kansas City in their 4-1 loss to Seattle.

Zarek Valentin played 90 minutes for Minnesota United in their 1-1 draw against Vancouver

Daniel Lovitz and CJ Sapong played all 90 minutes, Fafa Picault played and Tyler Washington dressed but didn’t play for Nashville SC in their 1-0 loss to Cincinnati. Ray Gaddis played 90 minutes, Alvas Powell checked in for 1 and Sergio Santos played 14 minutes off the bench for FC Cincinnati.

Zac MacMath made 4 saves but Real Salt Lake suffered a 4-0 loss to St. Louis City. Joshua Yaro dressed but did not play for St. Louis.
