Philadelphia Union valuation hits $700 million, 14th in MLS

The Philadelphia Union’s valuation has jumped $15 million to $700 million, according to the latest valuation data released by Sportico.

The Union’s valuation is 14th in the league and $21 million below the league average.

Five teams have reached $1 billion in valuations with NYCFC joining LAFC, Inter Miami, LA Galaxy and Atlanta United in the billionaires club.

CF Montreal is last on the list at $450 million, followed closely by Vancouver Whitecaps at $440 million and Colorado Rapids at $475 million.

The data also includes information about revenue for teams. The Union revenue is listed as $67 million for 2024, up from $66 million in 2023 and $52 million in 2022.

The Union’s ownership group – led by majority owner Jay Sugarman – purchased the franchise from MLS for $30 million in 2009.
