Naples FC of USL League One has announced the signing of Malvern, Pa. native Dominick Bachstein to his first professional contract. The contract will span the remainder of the season.

Bachstein has been a standout across multiple levels in the Philadelphia area for years, and now has earned the opportunity to compete professionally in Florida. Bachstein committed to La Salle University in 2020 as an FC Delco alum from Conestoga High School. He transferred to Drexel for his junior season in 2022, but his true breakout season came in his graduate year in 2024. Bachstein started 16 of Drexel’s 17 matches, contributing 12 goals and 6 assists, earning himself a spot on the All-CAA First Team.

Bachstein carried this momentum into what would become a massive summer, which started in Iowa with Des Moines Menace in USL League 2. Bachstein led the lines for the Menace, scoring 11 goals in 12 matches and winning the Great Plains Division. Bachstein’s 11 goals were beaten only by North Carolina State’s Donavan Phillip and Coastal Carolina’s Evan Howard.

After being eliminated by Sueno FC of Chicago in the first round of the USL League 2 Playoffs, Bachstein rejoined West Chester United’s USLPA team in the semifinals of the USASA National Amateur Cup semifinals. Bachstein scored in the semifinal and appeared in the final where West Chester became National Amateur Cup Champions.

Bachstein’s huge year, starting in the fall and continuing through the summer, has earned him a shot at the professional level. He joins Head Coach Matt Poland and FC Naples who currently sit in a playoff spot in USL League 1, recognized as the third division of American Professional Soccer. Bachstein could make his debut tomorrow on Wednesday, August 6 th at 8 p.m. EST at home against South Georgia Tormenta.
