Philadelphia Union Academy defenders Rayshaun McGann and Matthew Real have been named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Youth All-America team.

Real (Drexel Hill, Pa.) is on the list of 40 players for the second year in a row.

Former Union Academy forward Tonny Temple, who now plays for IMG Academy, was also on the list.

Twenty-one of the 40 players compete for an MLS academy in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy.

Atlanta United homegrown Andrew Carleton was named boys Player of the Year.

Three area players were named to the girls team, including Penn Fusion midfielder Sydney Zandi (West Chester, Pa.), Winslow Soccer Club forward Amirah Ali (Voorhees, N.J.) and FC Revolution midfielder Shea Moyer (Wyomissing, Pa.). Zandi is a two-time selection and Moyer received the honor for the third year.

Ashley Sanchez (Monrovia, Calif.) received the girls Player of the Year recognition. The players and their families and coaches will be recognized at the NSCAA All-America Luncheon on January 14 in conjunction with the NSCAA Convention at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
