Lititz, Pennsylvania native Brian Nana-Sinkam has signed on with the organization that drafted him in the first round of the 2017 MLS SuperDraft, inking a USL contract with Seattle Sounders 2 earlier this week.
The 22-year-old who spent time in the Philadelphia Union youth setup as a member of youth affiliate PA Classics helped lead Stanford to back-to-back national titles. He had a goal and two assists over 71 career games in college and spent last summer playing for the Burlingame Dragons in the Premier Development League.
He made one appearance for the Philadelphia Union in the MLS Reserve League prior to college.
Sounders 2 announced Nana-Sinkam’s signing earlier this week along with the signings of six other players, including defenders Denso Ulysse, Riley Grant and Rodrigue Ele, midfielder Ray Saari and forwards Felix Chenkam and Shandon Hopeau will also join the side this season.
“We are very excited to bring these players into our organization,” Sounders FC Director of Player Personnel Kurt Schmid said in a news release. “These signings include young internationals and college standouts, plus an exciting player from our academy. After signing three S2 players to the First Team this offseason, we hope these players can develop on a similar path.”
