PA Classics Harrisburg is one win away from bringing another U.S. Youth Soccer national championship trophy back to Central PA after advancing to the U-19 girls final with a come-fom-behind penalty shootout victory over Madison 56ers on Saturday.

PA Classics and Madison 56ers played to a scoreless draw and Madison took an early lead in the shootout that PA Classics Harrisburg was able to overcome with back-to-back saves by their goalkeeper Chelsea Coburn.

The club formerly known as Penn FC Youth captured the 2021 U-17 national championship in 2021 and there are a couple ties to that team (nicknamed the Lightning) within this year’s U-19 squad coached by Adam Freeman. Janae and Joselyn Swartz are the younger sisters of Jamie Swartz, a rising James Madison senior who was on the 2021 team and Haley Bull is the younger sister of Lindsey Bull, a rising junior at Bloomsburg who was also a member of the Lightning.

PA Classics is the lone local team in the finals on Sunday in Orlando. Their match against Michigan Rangers is slated to kick off at 10:30 a.m. at ESPN Wide World of Sports. The match will be broadcast live on the US Youth Soccer YouTube channel.

The only other local team that advanced out of the group stages was Yardley Makefield Soccer’s U-15 boys team (nicknamed United), but they fell on penalties on Saturday after a 3-3 draw with Tuzos Tucson Academy.
