Georgetown defender Keegan Rosenberry and Penn State forward Connor Maloney will get a chance to show their skills to U.S. Under-23 Men's National Team head coach Andi Herzog before reporting to campus for the start of the college soccer season.

The college duo with experience suiting up for the Philadelphia Union Academy are among 28 college players called into a camp August 5-8 in Carson, California. The College Identification training camp provides the U.S. coaching staff a chance to "scout a new crop of collegiate players as the team continues preparations ahead of October qualifying for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro," according to U.S. Soccer.

Rosenberry, a Ronks native, is entering his senior season at Georgetown. He's been a regular starter at right back for the Hoyas, starting 69 games in the past three seasons, scoring a pair of goals and delivering seven assists.

Maloney, a Harrisburg native, is entering his junior season at Penn State after a breakout year last year that saw him named the Big 10 Offensive Player of the Year. He's collected 12 goals and 10 assists in 41 games for the Nittany Lions.

The U.S. Under-23 roster for the 2011 Olympic qualifiers did not include any college players, but Stanford star Jordan Morris and UC Santa Barbara defender Sam Strong were on the roster for the 2015 Toulon Tournament.
