Game 8: Philadelphia Union at Houston Dynamo Preview Roundup
The consensus goes something like this: Philadelphia can't win on the road, Ching is back and Houston has been playing well. I tend to agree. The only thing we have going for us in this road game is 2 weeks rest coming off a dramatic tie at home.
My prediction: 2-1 Houston. Like most of the road games this season I see us giving up at least 2 or 3 and eeking out at most one goal. The defense hasn't played that well this season overall but the offense deserves its share of the blame too at this point in the season. Both need to come together for a solid match in order to beat the Dynamo.
Now for the preview roundup:

Houston: Here we go, can the Dynamo break the win/loss trend? Every time I pick them to do, they let me down but I'm going to do it again anyway. Houston wins 2-0.
Philadelphia: Road games have been ugly this season, plain and simple. There is little reason to believe this Saturday will be any different of an end result. Danny Mwanga’s goal to salvage a point gave the team a boost of morale, but that was two weeks ago. Houston 3, Philadelphia 1.
“It’s going to be a good battle for us, but we have to challenge them and make them play our game,” Nowak said. “I really think we will have to keep a close mark on Brian Ching. I just really think he will be extra motivated in this game to prove that being left out of the World Cup was a mistake.”
RESTED AND READY Union looking for points on the road in Houston
"It was very important for us to finish, with all the losses we have away, even if it was just a tie 1-1," said the Union’s leading scorer Sebastein Le Toux. After trailing most of the game, the Union earned the draw at Lincoln Financial Field on a stoppage time goal by rookie Danny Mwanga. "I think it was very important for the mentality of the team as a group to get a goal at the end of injury time by one of the younger players," said Le Toux. "It was something great for the team and the importance of getting this point, and I think it’s a good trend for the next game in Houston and make sure that we can get points away."
Brian Ching’s week got off to a disappointing start when the Houston Dynamo star learned he wouldn’t be going to South Africa for next month’s World Cup. Still, Ching will be on the field Saturday night against the expansion Philadelphia Union as he tries to help the Dynamo post back-to-back wins for the first time this season.
