Women’s World Cup: USA vs France preview, how to watch and reading material

The most anticipated game of the World Cup kicks off at 3 p.m.

It’s the hosts versus the defending champs in the most anticipated match of the World Cup today at 3 p.m.

The top-ranked Team USA will face their stiffest challenge yet against the fourth-ranked Les Bleues at a sold out Parc des Princes in Paris. It’s really pretty hard to undersell just how big of a game this is. Even the ticket prices have reached unprecedented levels on the resale market.

Will the U.S. continue to show their dominance on the world stage or will being home give France an extra advantage in trying to topple the mighty Americans?

After flying through the group stage outscoring their first three opponents 18-0, the U.S. had a bit of a letdown against Spain failing to score from open play for the first time in the competition.

Megan Rapinoe, who scored both goals in the 2-1 win from the penalty spot, is hoping for “a shitshow circus” today in Paris.

Any kind of win really will do and put the Americans into a semifinal match-up against England two days before Independence Day.
