Talen Energy Stadium hosting slate of high school, college soccer games

Friends Central and Shipley face off today in one of several high school/college games scheduled

The boys and girls varsity soccer teams from Friends Central and Shipley will be kicking off later today in one of several high school games being played at the home of the Philadelphia Union.

The girls will play at 4 p.m. followed by the boys at 6 p.m.

South Jersey schools Woodstown and Schalick and GCIT and Clayton all played in games at the stadium on Monday and several more high school games are scheduled, including Archmere Academy and Wilmington Charter School on October 10 at 7 p.m. and Episcopal Academy and The Haverford School on October 17 at 5:30 p.m.

Talen Energy Stadium is also hosting a weekend of college soccer beginning Friday, October 13 with Villanova taking on Georgetown at 7 p.m. and the Army-Navy Cup on Sunday, October 15, at 2 p.m.

The final four of college soccer, known as the College Cup, will return to the stadium for the second time on December 8 and 10.
